This durable film has been specially formulated to create rechargeable "glow in the dark" signs and markings, including safety signage in buildings, ships, ferries and railroads; identification signs and symbols; labels and various floor graphics – both indoors and out.

When printed with compatible products, produced by one of 3M’s Scotchprint^® Graphics Authorized Manufacturers and applied according to written instructions, this film can be used to produce a Scotchprint® Graphic.

• Film 5900 can be used to make screen printed, cut out or electrostatically imaged graphics.
• The film can be easily recharged in only three minutes using typical fluorescent office lighting.
• This film grants excellent chemical and stain resistance and is easily cleaned with common cleaning solutions.
• No heavy metals or radioactive materials are used in the manufacture of this film, so it can be safely disposed of in a sanitary landfill or by incineration in an industrial, commercial or municipal incinerator.

Film 5900:

• is a 10 mil (0.25 mm) opaque vinyl film; 12 to 14 mil (0.30 to 0.35 mm) with the adhesive
• has a gray, pressure-sensitive adhesive, which adheres quickly to a substrate
• has a 78# paper liner

Film 5900 can be applied to flat or simple curved surfaces. Appropriate substrates include anodized aluminum, etched aluminum, fiberglass, sealed concrete, painted metal, ceramic and waxed vinyl. It has an application temperature range of 40º to 100ºF (4º to 38ºC).

Available in rolls, film 5900 comes in a standard 48" width. Custom sheeting is available with a 300 square foot minimum.

Unprocessed film has a shelf life of two years; processed film has a shelf life of one year. It should be stored in a clean, dry area, out of direct sunlight and at a temperature less than 100ºF (38ºC).
